12 Weeks

How far along: 12 weeks - EDD 09/10/15

How big is baby: The size of a plum - Baby is entering the growth and maturation stage, in which organs and tissues grow and develop rapidly. He or she is developing reflexes, and if poked, would likely move.

What are we having: We'll find out in April March, thanks to the Harmony test!

Symptoms this week: I feel great. No stomach issues, only occassional gagging from smells, and my energy is definitely coming back. I've learned that I can't overdo it though, otherwise I feel awful. I had a 3-day migraine the tail end of this week, but hopefully it's my last.

Weight gain/loss: Still at zero.

Food aversions/cravings: Not so much food, but a guaranteed smell that makes me gag is the fridge. It's not even the contents of the fridge, but that artificially cold refrigerant smell. So weird. I've definitely been craving more sweets, and have been indulging in donuts and cookies more than I care to admit.

The baby belly: The bump is now noticeable to others. I don't think a stranger would really pick up on it, since it's still small, but those who know me have definitely noticed that I'm rounding out.

Movement: I can't feel baby yet, but I know he or she is moving in there.

What is freaking me out: Still waiting on the results of our Harmony test. 12w6d begins the true 7-10 day possibility of results coming in. I'm anxious. I have no reason to believe that anything is wrong, but I'll feel better once I know for sure.

What I'm totally loving: Having graduated from my fertility center. While it's strange to know I won't see the baby again until week 20, it's nice not starting my Tuesday's with that internal ultrasound wand!

What I'm looking forward to: Harmony test results... Are you sensing a theme?

11 Weeks

How far along: 11 weeks - EDD finalized to 09/10/15

How big is baby: The size of a lime - Baby has see-through skin, but is on his or her way to looking more like a baby. Fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and tooth buds, hair follicles, and nail beds are forming.

What are we having: We'll find out in April March, thanks to the Harmony test!

Symptoms this week: Slowly starting to feel like myself again. I still have some waves of nausea and gagging, but they're lessening. I'm still exhausted, but not as much as I was a few weeks ago.

Weight gain/loss: Holding steady at my starting weight again, after gaining back the 2 lbs that I lost.

Food aversions/cravings: No more aversions, but no real cravings for anything specific either. If something really appeals to me I'll *need* to eat it, but nothing that I've wanted to eat every single day.

The baby belly: There's a bump! It's tiny, and probably just noticeable to me, but it's there.

Movement: I can't feel baby yet, but lots of movement visible on the ultrasound.

What is freaking me out: Waiting on the results of our Harmony test. We opted to have both the genetic tests and sex determination run at my first OB appointment this week. I was told 7-10 days, which seems like forever.

What I'm totally loving: We have pictures of the baby that actually look like a baby! My first OB appointment was at 11w6d and, much to my surprise, I was given an abdominal ultrasound. No more blob! Baby has fingers, feet, hands, and a face with a cute little nose.

What I'm looking forward to: Graduating from my fertility center at 12w!

We decided to share the love for Valentine's Day, and went public with our news! The response has been overwhelming, and we are so glad that everyone is as excited as we are.

10 Weeks

How far along: 10 weeks - EDD 09/09/15

How big is baby: The size of a prune - Baby has working arm joints, and cartilage and bones are forming. Vital organs are now fully developed and starting to function. He or she is swallowing and kicking in there, too!

What are we having: We'll find out in April. I'm still thinking its a boy, but have recently been having dreams about it being a girl.

Symptoms this week: Definitely still gagging. It isn't paired with any nausea or anything, it's legitimately just random gagging. I can also smell everything, which I'm sure is a contributing factor as well.

Weight gain/loss: Gained back 1lb since I've been eating a bit better than last week, bringing the new total to 1lb down from initial weight.

Food aversions/cravings: I've been able to eat some sweets again! Not that they're healthy or anything, but they taste really damn good right now. Still on a major carb kick, and frozen fruit bars have become a new staple as well.

The baby belly: I have a cone. I can't yet call it a bump because it's so pointy! The bloating above my navel has finally receded, and left me with this pointy, hard, little protrusion below my navel. I'm definitely sold on maternity pants, and have zero plans to try to squeeze into anything else at this point.

Movement: I can't feel baby yet, but lots of movement visible on the ultrasound.

What is freaking me out: Thankfully, nothing much this week!

What I'm totally loving: I still love seeing that sweet baby grow each week. My ultrasounds are still internal, so even though the baby is bigger, the angle of the ultrasound doesn't make it look very baby-like.

What I'm looking forward to: I get to have my first OB appointment next week! Then the following day I have what will possibly be my last weekly ultrasound with my fertility center. If it's the last, I'll officially "graduate" to my OB.

9 Weeks

How far along: 9 weeks - EDD 09/09/15

How big is baby: The size of a green olive - We've reached a milestone! Baby is now a fetus! He or she is developing more distinct facial features, and has a heart beat strong enough to be picked up by a fetal doppler.

What are we having: We'll find out in April. I'm still thinking its a boy.

Symptoms this week: Oh, hello nausea, exhaustion, and gagging over everything. I don't think I've had the energy, or strong enough stomach, to cook dinner at all this week. I'm still fine in the mornings, but the nausea I've been having in the afternoon and evenings has been kicking my ass.

Weight gain/loss: Down 2 lbs, from my newly acquired afternoon hatred of food.

Food aversions/cravings: My aversions this week are pretty much everything. I've been surviving off of fruit cups, Cheerios, and plain pasta.

The baby belly: My lower abdomen is definitely firming up. I still look bloated, but from my navel down, I swear it's super hard.

Movement: Baby is moving now, but I have a long way to go before I can feel it.

What is freaking me out: Feeling like crap! I was doing so well, and this hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm hoping it doesn't last too long, because it sucks. I still haven't thrown up yet, but trust me, I'm on the verge.

What I'm totally loving: Heading into the final month of my first trimester. Time feels like it's dragging and flying at the same time. Second trimester feels like an eternity from now, but I know it's only about a month away... and that's what I keep telling myself each time I feel sick!

What I'm looking forward to: My 10 week ultrasound. This week baby actually looked baby-like, and I could see him/her bending and wiggling. It was incredibly cool, and I can't wait to see how much s/he has changed in another week. The amount of growth and changes in just 7 days blows my mind each week.
